✦ TERMS OF SERVICE ✦

I. GENERAL

  1. I have the right to decline any request.

  2. You may not remove my signature from the art.

  3. Do not alter the artwork without my permission.

  4. Do not repost my artwork unless you have commissioned the piece.

  5. Prices are subject to change depending on the complexity of the request.

  6. Payment is to be expected through PayPal, Square, or Ko-Fi fully upfront or partially upon request.

  7. Progress will be shown through each step of the process or upon request and you are allowed to suggest corrections each time.

  8. Drastic changes are subject to an additional charge especially if later in the process.

II. USAGE

  1. I own the rights of the artwork and may post on my website, galleries, and social media unless explicitly stated not to.

  2. You may publicly post your commissioned artwork as long as credit is given to me.

  3. My works are not to be used for NFT/AI purposes.

  4. My works are not for commercial use unless permission has been given and commercial fees (200% of the original price) are paid.

III. REFUND POLICY

  1. Refunds can be requested up until the line art is started. This amount will exclude the work that has already been done.

  2. If I do not complete the artwork in a reasonable amount of time (one month, unless otherwise agreed upon) you will be refunded, excluding work that has already been done.

ORDER PROCESS

  • Once the form is received and the request accepted, I will send you an invoice. After payment is received, I will send a watermarked sketch. You may make more drastic changes such as posing and clothing free of charge at this stage.

  • Once the sketch is approved, I will begin the line art process. No refunds will be given at this point.

  • When work on line art is complete, any requests for minor changes will be made free of charge. Any major additions or revisions may be subject to an additional cost and progress will be halted until the additional fee is paid. The coloring stage will not begin until the work is approved.

  • After the piece is colored, there is an opportunity for any final revisions with the same conditions as stated above. If all is well, you are free to use the artwork as you please as long as it follows my terms of service.

Q: What do you use to draw?
A: I use Paint Tool SAI 2 with a Huion 1060 Plus. Works completed before July 2022 were done in Procreate on an iPad Pro.

Q: How do I commission you?
A: Fill out my form here. Please be able to provide visual references or detailed descriptions if the character has yet to be drawn.

Q: How long will it take for you to finish my commission?
A: Turnaround time can vary from 5 days to 3 weeks depending on the complexity of the request as well as the timeliness of communication.

Q: How often do you give updates?
A: By default, I send a work in progress after I finish sketching, lining, coloring, etc. I also regularly update my Trello on the amount of progress I have made, so you may ask for updates if you see any changes there.

Q: How does payment work?
A: By default, 100% is paid up front through PayPal invoice. If you wish to pay 50% up front and 50% when the piece is finished or use Ko-Fi/Square instead, please make a note of it on the order form.

Q: Are there discounts available?
A: A 20% discount is applied to commissions that are colored and include two or more characters. This does not apply to any sketch or line art commissions.

Q: Are refunds available?
A: Refunds can be made until I notify you that I have started the line art process. Once started, there will be no refunds unless I am unable to finish the work within an agreed upon time.

Q: My character has a complex design and/or prop. Will this cost extra?
A: There is a complexity fee between 5 to 20 USD depending on the amount of detail required. Please reach out to me beforehand to receive a quote if needed.

Q: Can I make changes to the piece while it’s in progress?
A: You will have the opportunity to provide feedback after each step of the process: sketch, line art, flat colors, shading. Drastic changes further in the process may be subject to an additional fee.

Q: Can I edit the piece once it’s finished?
A: Please request permission before doing so. In general, you are not allowed to remove my watermark. If you are not satisfied with the finished piece, please let me know and I will work with you in order to fix it. Small adjustments, such as minor changes in character design, can be made if it is expressly stated that the piece has been edited. (Colors, markings, etc)

Q: Can I use your art for commercial purposes? (Twitch, YouTube, merchandise, etc)
A: Please do not use my art commercially without my permission. The fee for commercial usage is an additional 300% of the original price for the piece.
